Relaxing Doesn't Make Babies

Pic drop-off

June 3, 2010 — 3:43 am

Just dropping off pictures, since Ms Kate has me up at 3:30am. (We go to bed and she nurses… and then screams and screams… and also plays this lovely little game of latch-and-tug, which put me in a bad mood because both nipples are rather sore to start with and the whole tug thing? NOT a fan. Turns out it was gas. Now she feels much better and is asleep. I, however, am still recovering.)

She’s changing already. But you were right, even though I think she was wicked cute to start with, I think she’s even more cute now.

Haha, my boyfriend doesn’t want me to look at those pictures anymore, he’s afraid they will make me want to have kids soon (we’re both still in school) ;) She’s adorable!

What a precious stunning girl!!!! Breast feeding takes a while to get used to and to work well…at least 6 weeks according to my pediatrician. I also pumped so others could help with feeding (which was constantly)…at any rate I felt like there was either a baby or a pump attached to me at all times! Not always fun, a tad inconvenient and also exhausting (not to mention painful).
Try the medela or lanisoh breast cream (lanolin?) for sore nipples…it help me out alot!
Kate is truly beautiful….you are doing a great job as a mommy!

… just wait until she smiles at you for the first time… you’ll forget (briefly) about all the late night screaming. :)

Oh, she’s just too cute! I love yawning baby pics, and I love your expression as you look at her in that one, too.

And yeah, it just keeps getting better. I do sometimes miss Austin-the-baby, but now I have Austin-the-little-boy who gives me ice cream kisses on the lips and jumps off the side of a pool into my arms.

(And of course I wish you had your little boy and I had my baby girl…but I do love seeing the pics of your baby girl, and I hope you don’t mind when I tell you about my little boy.)
    *hugs*
