Breathing steady
Lest anyone thinks I’m ready to go off the deep end today, I did chill out quite a bit.
Here is today’s test (Answer). I am 11dp5dt, or 16dpo.
At least it came up straight away and is thicker and more obvious than the FRERs.
Den and I had a long talk last night and this morning, and really it comes down to the acceptance that nothing is guaranteed, but I currently AM pregnant, and that puts us in a much better place than we were a week ago. At least we know I can still get pregnant with my eggs, that Devin was not a complete fluke, and we have another embryo is storage. That, by itself, is huge!
So we’re just going to have to keep in check our plans for the future until we know more, just take it day by day and be thankful we have what we do. This is a gift, and no matter how light or dark the lines are, it still says pregnant.
Thats what I like to hear!!!
I’m glad you’re enjoying “being pregnant”.
xxxx
Sweetie – I noticed the line right away even on your first post…also….you are only 16 days past ovulation..it will get darker – I have faith!!! WHen is your first doctors appointment? Id be banging their door down..hahah
Nat, I am beyond happy for you guys! I agree that living in the moment than never experiencing the moments, good or bad. Lots of love & prayers!!!
i was thinkin about this too, what is it that secretes the beta hcg anyway, cause your uterus was missing 5 days of whatever the heck wasnt it? would that affect the amount this early on maybe?
anyway, A LINE IS A LINE IS A LINE and yeah, youre preggo girl!
Nat-I saw this on FF…I know that site isn’t known for being the best site around but this quote made me think of you and I thought you might appreciate it and be able to relate to it-
“From Danielle, Washington State, USA:After 4 miscarriages, a friend gave me some great advice about this pregnancy. Enjoy it! Whether you are pregnant for 9 days or 9 months, it’s the only time you’ll be pregnant with THIS baby. Enjoy every minute of it.
From experience I can tell you it doesn’t hurt any more or less if you think about your baby, enjoy pregnancy, and tell everyone you know.”
I love your ticker and am so excited to see it!!
Damn right. A line is a line is a line. You are PREGNANT.
My lines with Nate were never ever darker than the control line, so there is great hope. XOXO
Ok, I’m a long-time reader who is delurking to share my experience in the hope that it will be reassuring. I’m currently 24 weeks pregnant with #2 after IF and repeated losses. This pregnancy, I was testing with FRERs and the tests took FOREVER to get darker. In fact my FRERs NEVER freaking got really dark … well, at least not until 20-something dpo. The Answer second lines were more noticeable and got darker a bit faster, but still took a while and gave me a nervous breakdown. Meanwhile I was having betas that doubled. This taught me the hard way that darkening tests do not always show up even when hcg is doubling.
Hang in there! You are pregnant, and I am SO happy for you.
I have a love/hate relationship with FRERs. I know they have the best sensitivity, but even after I got a positive on a digital, the FRERs were very faint. I had better luck with cheapo generic tests from Target.
I’m glad you have been able to relax a little. It might be worth the peace of mind to pay for a beta or two while you are away from home.
OMG Natalie!!! How did I miss this?! CONGRATS!!! I totally get being catiously optimistic… But I am sooooo happy for you! When we first found out about our current pregnancy CLC gave me the great advice to take this one day, one step and one Dr. appt. at a time and look at where she is now (at home were her RLB). You can do this! (((HUGS))) Holding you close and sending lots of sticky vibes your way. WAHOO! YIPEE! YAY! :)
OMG that’s EXACTLY what my test looked like!!! You are SO pregnant! Congratulations!!!
I got chills when I visited this morning! What great news! So excited for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep. Just keep breathing. You are pregnant TODAY.
xxx
Hang in there, Nat.
Nat – is there a direct link to your blog posts? For some reason at home Firefox brings me to your updated page immediately. At work, with IE, I often seem to ONLY get a cached version. So I’ve been clicking on the link, finding the post count, and adding a number to see how far ahead it will take me so I can see your current posts. LOL
Am I missing something? Argh. LOL
^^ christina that is happening to me too, when ever i get here i just force a refresh with f5, does that work in IE?
It’s awesome seeing that ticker at the top of the page. :)
Thank you so much for keeping us in the loop. I check everyday darling. Hugs tight.
I am a long time lurker who has followed you from the beginning (found your blog from Fertility friend YEARS ago) and have checked in on you from time to time.
I AM THRILLED FOR YOU beyond words, noone, and I mean noone deserves this more than you, Den and Devin.
Justine
Long time follower/lurker… SO happy for you. Seriously. Congratulations!
I am so happy for you. I am crying little tears of joy. I’ve been gone for a few days and now that I have internet again, as soon as I clicked onto your page, I saw the ticker and my heart leapt for joy for you.
You’ve already figured out what it took me forever to.
You’re pregnant today, and that’s all that matters today. ((hugs))
(and I’ll be continuously praying for you!)

Erin – nope, no forced refresh will even work. Just finding the last post made by Nat and adding +1 until I hit something new LOL
I’ve been celebrating your news!
