A ring just for me
I know what I want for a ring. I was looking online and suddenly a memory struck me… a ring I had loved when looking for wedding rings once upon a time (obviously, something I never ended up purchasing!). I had found it in a Canadian jewelry store that I really like. Sadly of course they do not have it on their website anymore… but I did save a picture of it on my computer in my “wedding” folder. This is it.
I also ended up finding a ring on their current website that strikes me as an “almost”… I think the perfect ring for Devin would be a combination of the two. Maybe without the side diamonds. I do love the marquise style stone but I think a princess cut would work just as well.
I also have to decide what size to get… should I get it made for my right ring finger, or my middle finger?
I’ve seen several mothers rings that I really like… that are meant for 2 or more children. Maybe someday I’ll be able to get one of those for all of my children. Someday.
I have been “lurking” around your site for a few monts actually or almost a year now. When I read this blog I just wanted to write and tell you what we did for a ring when we lost our child. I have a heart shape with 3 stones and I wear it on my binky right next to my wedding ring.. Mine, My husbands, and the one representing the month our child was born. We to lost our child and this was the way I could keep the memory close all the time not just when I was home. The rings you have posted are beautiful to say the least good luck in finding the perfect one.
Have you tried talking to a jeweler? I went to one of those big Diamond Exchange places when I wanted a ring made, and they could custom make one for me. I picked out a ring I loved, that was all diamonds, and exchanged the stone for Amethysts. So you might be able to go to a jeweler and have them custom make a piece for you … Good luck.
Hi Nat! Have you considered getting a ring made? That way, you can get exactly what you want. If cost is an issue, you might be surprised at the price of one you design yourself. I had my engagement ring and wedding ring made, and it didn’t cost any more than an already made one did.
My FIL also gets jewelry made at this one place- they mail order. I’ve gotten some very nice custom things. Let me know if you want that info. I’m not sure how pricey that place is.
