Diaper Bags

August 29, 2007 — 5:14 pm

More links to save…. diaper bags this time.

The Skip Hop Dash looks like a possibility. More than I wanted to spend, but with lots of pockets.

Oh, I like the Five Piece Combo from Ryco. Looks very nice, lots of pockets, easy access, and even looks like it has a long shoulder strap.

I do love the Ju Ju Be All in terms of functionality and looks, but it is WAY beyond my price range. I guess some people are willing to spend that much on a freakin’ bag…. I am not one of them.

ETA: The Skip Hop Duo has also been recommended to me… and it doesn’t have the fold-over flap (which I hate). I especially LOVE the ice blue color. it’s $50, but that’s not *terrible*.

All very cute! I would have a hard time choosing but I am cheap, so cost would be a big factor for me. (Got mine at Target for $20.) ;o)

I would recommend a dark colored bag, as it will get sooo dirty. Love the light blue, but it can get really grungy really fast.

I have a theory on diaper bags. They become your purse for at least a year and a half any time you leave with the kiddo. So I try to splurge on that a little more than I would normally. It’s like buying a new purse, and some of those are pretty pricey. I had one last time that was an over the shoulder, and it was great. But it hurt my shoulder if I was walking around a mall, or going in and out of a car because it is so heavy. This time I want a backpack, so it will put the weight on both sides instead of one. Another thing to look for is a lining that’s cleanable. Things spill, no matter how hard you try.

Thought I might add here…. I HATE packpacks. LOL Maybe I’ll end up changing my mind on that one, but I always carry my backpack over one shoulder…. and I just hate how much they stick out and bump into EVERYTHING.
