Bedding
This bedding set (“Naples” by Nojo) just went on my list. It’s cheap! And I like the stripes and dots. :D (Girl)
I still like Clover Fields… though I don’t think I’d get the whole set. (Boy)
What I’m leaning towards is getting just a dust ruffle and some sheets. I don’t need a blanket (to tack on the wall?), I don’t really want a crib bumper either – they look cute, but you shouldn’t really use one anyways.
I’m just going to post this for inspiration, because I LOVE IT, but there is no way in HELL I’m paying over $700 for bedding for a crib. Are you freaking crazy?? (Girl)
This one is nice for boys, but $100 for JUST the dust ruffle? (Boy)

LOVE the girl set! Also, I loved the boy set as well. I had drooled over it many evenings waiting for Max to arrive. Didn’t get it, but its still a fave. You have excellent taste. :o)
I LOVE the first one – and I have to say – we do use the bumper. Evie moves around sooo much that she bumps her head and sticks her hands out of the rails. Although she was in a bassinet the first 6 months. After that it was ok. She tends to sleep on her face with her butt in the air anyway. I tried to take the bumpers out and she FLIPPED. She likes the ‘closed’ in feeling. So I moved them to the ‘outside’ of the crib. We were worried she would try to climb out of the crib using the bumpers. LOL But the blanket – just use it to block out additional sun. Where to spend the money?? Light blocking curtains. I totally get it now when ppl put tinfoil on thier windows. DEAR god – if you can get just an hour more sleep bec. baby doesn’t know what time it is (no sun in room) – it is a blessed, blessed thing.
We used the blanket from our set as a playmat – who knows what’s on the carpet, especially when you are visiting someone else. Also, you should get a crib bumper to prevent arms and legs from getting caught between the rails. They make mesh ones that are “breathable” so there’s less risk of smothering. You can find them at Target online (but not in the store, very frustrating!)
