Just rip them off, they say
I took off my bandaids.
Ow motherfucking OW.
See I can get through surgery just fine, even four IVs, but taking off a bandaid? Give me some friggin pain medication. (Note to anyone going into a lap? Might want to consider shaving your belly of all the little fuzz and those stray little belly hairs. Just a thought.)
But anyways, I survived, and everything is healing up nicely. My lower incisions aren’t as minor as I had hoped, I guess they bled a bit afterwards and so they have some scabbing on them. Ick. My belly button incision, the one I thought would be the worst, is pretty tiny. However – they sewed up my belly button! I always had a pretty deep belly button… a little annoying, but it was me. Now it’s pretty shallow. They sewed it closed. Aacckkkk. Mustn’t dwell on it too much or I’ll freak out a little. (Yeah, of all the things to freak out about… )
So if anyone is really interested in seeing a photo of my belly 4 days past lap, I’ll post it in the more section. I need to lay off the chocolate cake. Badly.
Saturday, March 17 (4 days after lap)

Tuesday, March 13 (day of lap)

Guess there’s not much to compare.
I’m considering putting bandaids back on, even though the thought of that makes me wince. I’m just totally paranoid of hurting one of the incisions accidentally. (Paranoid as in afraid to touch my stomach.) I must sound ridiculous, but I’ve honestly never had cuts like this before and I don’t know what to do! The most I deal with is cat scratches and bites, and those are generally surface wounds that heal up without issue. Oh, and some sliced fingers, those require a bandaid – that never stay on anyways.
Oh, and on other notes I feel fine today. Itchy, but not much else. And whatever leftover bloating I feel I’m pretty sure is from AF, that bitch. I have, however, been totally stuffing myself with junk-food in a week-long pity party. That has got to stop. Aghhh. So much for slowly trimming down my weight before getting pregnant. My ass is as fat as ever – as the photos prove. Photos which, I might add, will never ever be posted on the ‘net.
