Question
I need some input. When you have a head cold and your sinuses are completely clogged, do you normally produce way more cervical mucous? Because I’m starting to wonder if I even ovulated this month, it’s been like two weeks of this and I should have ovulated last week. Damnit. And no, I’m not doing any temping or OPKs or anything. And there’s no pee stick for progesterone levels.
ETA: I meant to add, but forgot, that I’m not taking any meds. I know that mucinex and stuff can loosen things up a lot… but up until yesterday I hadn’t taken even a tylenol. So whatever this is it’s all my body.
I did! I thought it was the big O as well only to find out it was not
I think, if you are taking cold medication, that it can cause more mucous every where. I seem to recall that some docs prescribe an expectorant to women who are on chlomid
Mrs. Spit said the same thing I was going to– if you’re taking Mucinex or Robitussin, it thins everything. We used it both times we got pg.
yes, cold medicine can make EVERYTHING more mucousy,
some even advise taking it to create more cervical mucous. However being sick can delay ovulation, so you may not have ovulated yet.
I agree with Mrs. Spit. I have been sick for about a week now and this may be tmi but there’s an abundance of mucus everywhere. I was thinking the same thing this morning in regards to ovulation but I think it has to do with the sickness and all the medicine I am taking.
Well the problem is that I’m not taking any medication!
I was going to agree w/Mrs. Spit, but since you have not taken anything then I don’t have a clue! LOL
Hope you feel better soon.
Yup, generally when I get stuffy and have a runny nose everything gets affected even when I don’t take medication. In fact there have been a couple of times when an increase in cervical mucus/discharge was a symptom of a cold about to start.
