Relaxing Doesn't Make Babies

Interaction; Sleep

Laying here watching my belly move (he’s shaking my whole belly with a couple of good kicks), watching him poke at one spot just left of my belly button. I put my hand there and gentle felt the area… a small hard spot. He pushed back. I almost burst into tears. That’s my baby in there. I can almost TOUCH him. I love him so much.

I am awake because I fell asleep at 7:30pm and woke up at midnight with a bladder that was fit to burst. (Not from the kid, though… just because I hadn’t peed at all recently and boy did it hurt!) Then of course I couldn’t fall back asleep.

Discovered some more about the hip thing: my left hip hurts like hell whenever I roll onto it. It feels like a pinched nerve there, just below/behind the bone. I press in one spot and paaaiiinnn. So I can’t really lay on that side… unless I lean to my front or lean to my back. No laying directly on my side. Interesting.

Unfortunately this means that I’m sleeping 90% on my right side, which means by the time I wake up my right hip is aching. Not hurting in concentrated pain like the left, but just general achiness from being slept on too long.

Fantastic. This should be interesting. Maybe I should look into getting a massage… as if we can afford that right now. (Bank account… not doing well. Need to get our taxes done so we can get our return to buy the rest of the baby stuff we’ll need. Thank the light for a springtime baby and tax returns.)

Have to be up in 3 hours to go to my 28 week appointment and glucose tolerance test. Fun stuff people. I hope it goes well.

Ew, the glucose tolerance test! I always felt bad having to make people go through that.
