From hopeful TTC, through infertility, IVF and the resulting pregnancy, this became a journal through grief and trying again after the loss of our first son, Devin, at 36 weeks. After multiple more IVF cycles we got pregnant with our second child, a little girl born healthy and alive in May of 2010. Our third child, a most unexpected surprise baby girl, was just born in June 2012!
doh, i’m worried for my AF returns. This wednesday I have my 6 week post-partum checkup and get birth control prescribed. If I can make it until January, I will not have had a period at all this year. However, I’m so nervous for when it does come back…I used to have it only for 4 days, but I’m afraid it will be totally different now. Uggg…I anticipate your pain :-?
And see, Meghann… I read in a few different places that a side effect of pregnancy can be that your cramps never come back. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!
oh wow! that would be awesome, Kel! One of my friends from work who had her baby 2 weeks before me said hers came back after 5 weeks! She is breastfeeding so she was very surprised. I have a feeling that once I start the birth control again that I will have it sooner than I want. At least with bc I can have a better idea of when it will come..and maybe plan to stay home!

Midol. ;) I’m sorry you’ll be getting it so soon now. :( Usually breastfeeding keeps it away… but it just didn’t work out for you.
PS, I think cramps aren’t nearly as bad as going into labor!! (I am FREAKED out by that thought)
