Relaxing Doesn't Make Babies

Uh oh… I think it’s starting

August 13, 2007 — 7:21 am

Remember what I said yesterday? Yeah. I think I do have some morning sickness going on. It’s just not what I expected.

It started with just pressure this morning…. like the food I ate still was sitting there. Burping a lot. I was cuddling with Den and he was rubbing my back (which felt good), but I didn’t want to burp in his face. I sat up and felt… eeek… ran to the bathroom, gagged then puked in the toilet. Ugh! Nasty!

It’s weird, I kind of always imagined morning sickness to be… worse, somehow. Less controllable. But I feel pretty much fine, except those weird times when I feel that “pressure” in my stomach/throat that triggers my gag reflex. I’ve been noticing it being triggered more often, too. (That’s all I need… an even worse gag reflex!) I can usually just breathe through it, but sometimes it just feels better to dry heave. If that makes sense??

In any case, I’ll take this over the gas pains anyday. I just hope it doesn’t get worse.

ETA – Yup. Definitely morning sickness. Uggghhhh. I walked in and yelled at Den after I was done heaving this time. “I’m going to kill you! Didn’t you say yesterday that I didn’t have morning sickness and it was making you nervous?? You jinxed me!!”

I know you’ll understand what I mean when I say congrats on the morning sickness. Good luck and I hope it stays manageable.

my morning sickness just came on me. One minute I was fine – the next I was puking into my hands. So I sooo understand. AND – they do have a med to help if you puke too much. I was puking like 10 times a day – so they put me on a chemo med that stops throwing up. Worked WONDERS

blech! Mine started last weekend, at just about 8 weeks. After an acupuncture session, it’s completely gone, much better, and I can eat again. For me it was the constant nausea, but not vomiting. I hope yours goes away fast!!

I’m honesty not vomiting too much… very little if at all. A lot of dry heaving and feeling nauseated, though. It’s the damn weirdest feeling.

I’m glad that little bean is burrowing in for a long stay. Bring on the morning sickness! Though not too too much :)
