Relaxing Doesn't Make Babies

Side Thoughts

November 23, 2006 — 12:33 am

After reading this entry (and all the comments) at a little pregnant (I’m reading archives) I am now more convinced than ever that my child will be wearing a harness and leash every time we go out in public. Hubby thinks it’s very cruel. I don’t care. The little bugger will be strapped to my side so I can reel him in.

In a completely unrelated topic – I’m trying to think up explanations to the inevitable questions tomorrow of why I feel sick. I have a feeling that because I’m bleeding like a stuck pig is not the appropriate response.

“I’m on my cycle.” Much more crowd-friendly way of saying you’re bleeding like a stuck pig ;)

lol Well I’ll try it. I’m not sure that’s entirely polite to say to the menfolk. If it’s women I usually just tell them that I have my period.

The one thing I am fearing is that if I’m looking and feeling sick that people will do the “Maybe you’re pregnant! You never know!” thing. Because I’m not. And I do know. Obviously.

To guys, if they suggest it, I just tell them that no, I definitely am not. They usually pick up on it … and flee the conversation.

That’s what I used to do to my dad when he’s insist I had a stomach bug. LOL My dad is dense though and it usually took a few times.
