Relaxing Doesn't Make Babies

Gotta love the timing

May 10, 2008 — 10:59 pm

Remember when I said I thought I was ovulating? And a couple of days ago I noticed that my cervix was really really low, but since that was the first time I’d checked it in about 6 months I didn’t really know if that was a recent change or simply because of giving birth. I was SO bloated two days ago, and while it’s gone down a little I’m still bloated. Also, I’ve been wicked cranky the last couple of days. Just ask Den, he’ll agree with you. (But not outloud, for fear of making me mad.)

I’m sure you know what this is all leading up to: hellooooo AF. I was actually REALLY surprized when I saw blood, because I don’t feel any different. There was no feeling of, “HEY, it’s here!” Nope. I just went pee, looked down and nearly fell off the toilet in shock.

I am happy that I’m finally starting my cycle and we can get started. I’m relieved that my body is still working in that aspect (when I hit 9 weeks post-partum I was starting to wonder). But I’m frankly pissed it showed up on the eve of my vacation to Las Vegas! Son of a bitch.

But regardless, I need to go get some sleep before we get up early, get the house set up, and get to the airport. I always manage to think of 10 things I forgot to do right before we leave.

Glad to hear that AF showed up and in traditional AF timing, at a bad time ;) At least it is here though and you don’t have to wonder about that anymore

    Have fun on your trip!!

You know I love reading your blog and I had not been on in a while. So when I logged on the first entry that came up was the one from April 29 when you thought you were o-ing. So imagine my surprise when, in perfect time, you got AF. Timing does suck but good ole AF isn’t known for her sense of timing.

I hope you enjoy Vegas. I love that city–it’s like being on a totally different planet where the things that should matter don’t and vice versa (like everyone seems to eat and drink too much and spend too much money!! LOL)

I get my period pretty much every time I wouldn’t want it. Like, any other day would have been better than the day that I actually got it.

Have a wonderful trip. Take tons of pictures for me. I’ve not been.

frick, she’s the relative from hell, isn’t she. Never there when you need her, but eating out of your fridge and drinking your beer when you just want her to go away.

    Viva Vegas!

Finally, what we tend to dread every month has made her appearance with you… in timely fashion. I knew it would take you longer to have her visit, but I didn’t want to mention it.

Hopefully your trip to Vegas is doing you some good. You need some rest and relaxation, as well as fun. Enjoy yourselves.
