Well crap… I found out that it’s probably save to continue Celexa and Wellbutrin during pregnancy but Wellbutrin is not safe for breastfeeding, Celexa may not be either. :(
Celexa appears in breast milk and will affect the nursing infant. You should consider discontinuing either breastfeeding or Celexa. Talk with your doctor about the pros and cons of each option.
Wellbutrin does pass into breast milk and may cause serious reactions in a nursing baby; therefore, if you are a new mother, you may need to discontinue breastfeeding while you are taking this medication.

Damn. I’ll have to research other drugs, and find out what is okay during breastfeeding and what isn’t. I really don’t want to not breastfeed.

# The safety of this medicine in pregnancy has not been established. It should therefore be used with caution during pregnancy, and only if the benefits to the mother outweigh any risks to the foetus. Seek medical advice from your doctor.
# This medicine passes into breast milk, however the effect of this on the nursing infant is unknown. For this reason women who need to take this medicine should consider not breastfeeding. Seek medical advice from your doctor.

The SSRIs are classified as “B” or “C” (fluoxetine, paroxetine and sertraline are “B”, citalopram and fluvoxamine are “C”). The SSRIs are not teratogenic in animals, and most human data is for fluoxetine. No major abnormalities have been reported to date with paroxetine, but some “discontinuation” effects (such as increased breathing rate and jitteriness) have been seen in a few infants for a couple of days after birth, so it may be wise to reduce the dose a little before your due date.
