Lots of follicles.

Sept 15, 2008 – [RE] Follow-up appointment. The tests showed absolutely nothing, everything is normal – all our chromosomes, blood clotting, everything. I brought some research, the doctor liked it: we now have a plan. Did CD3 bloods to prepare for IVF#3 in December.

Aug 1, 2008 – [RE] RE Consult. 140 lbs, 108/68. New RE from last year, same clinic. Looking for answers. Found “rare” diagnosis: immature eggs. No suggestions forthcoming. I didn’t. What a pain in the ass.

May 18, 2007 – [MDWF] Annual exam. 141 lbs, bp 124/70. Basically just to say, “Yep, you’re all better now!” Also did quick ultrasound.

Mar 22, 2007 – [IVF1] Protocol Class. Learned how to mix and give injections, and went over how my protocol is going to go. Required before we start IVF. Not much a problem until they had to do it a second time. Then it hurt. Left tube is open, right tube is… well, probably open. But they’re not positive. (My right side was being obtuse.)

Infertility

Nov 17, 2006 – [RE1] 139.4 lbs, bp 100/78. First appointment with RE. Long wait (an hour) before seen, but after that it was very good. They (Resident and Dr. L) took our history, went over it with us, explained the risks/benefits of different treatments and explained the usual course of treatment. Then Dr. L did a quick pelvic exam and ultrasound. She proscribed day 3 bloodwork, an HSG, clomd for day 3-7, an ultrasound on day 10, and an IUI when I ovulate… all for next cycle. I’m to call when AF starts to get everything scheduled.

Pre-Infertility

Sept 25, 2006 – Den’s SA. Everything is good: thyroid function normal, immune to what I need to chicken pox and rubella, negative for carrying tay sachs and cystic fibrosis.

June 30, 2006 – [MDWF] UTI – ha! Got antibiotics. Also got blood drawn for blood tests.

June 29, 2006 – [GP] 137.5lbs, bp 118/80. Lots of pain. No UTI?! Referal to obgyn.

May 5, 2006 – [MDWF] 141lbs, bp 102/58. Annual Physical with Midwife. Asked general health questions, breast exam, pelvic exam, pap test. All looked good.

Apr 7, 2006 – [MDWF] Pre-conception councelling with Midwife. She said we’re doing everything right. She recommended a bunch of blood tests for me to get done at my GP, including testing for tsh, cystic fibrosis and tay sachs, cholestoral, glucose and lead. She also suggested DH get a SA done, just so we knew where we stand. We’ll need to talk to our GP to find out if it would be covered by insurance or not.

Mar 24, 2006 – [OB/GYN] 142lbs, bp 110/67. Met with Dr. W. Felt great about it. He said studies are showing Celexa to be pretty safe, he had no concerns about me being on it. Insurance won’t cover any infertility testing until we’ve been TTC for one year – we can get an SA, but it’d be out-of-pocket. His office is recommending pre-conception genetic councelling, so I booked that appointment for Den and I. He also suggested that I take calcium suppliments in addition to my pre-natal vitamins.

Feb 26, 2006 – [GP] 140lbs, bp 112/70. Sinuses. Got prescription.

Feb 2, 2006 – [GP] 135lbs, bp 122/70. Met with Dr. J. Recommended the pediatric care center just a few blocks from our house. He was concerned about my Celexa, said most doctors recommend switching to Zoloft. Got referal to new ob/gyn.

Nov 16, 2005 – [OB/GYN] Met with Dr. W1. Didn’t get a great vibe from her. She basically reiterated what I knew about my meds being a cost/benefit and that if I need them, I need them.
